COUNTRY CRAFT THATCHING is based in the foothills of The Northern Kwa Zulu Natal Drakensberg Mountains, in the heart of the finest Thatch grass growing area in South Africa where the local communities have have been living under Thatch for generations.
Country Craft Thatching started operations as professional thatchers in 1974. The very first house that we thatched in Pietermaritzburg has been maintained by us ever since.
Country Craft Thatching has been entrusted with thatching buildings in the most beautiful and pristine locations in Kwa Zulu Natal.
We are a small business, operating within a 300 Km radius of Bergville KZN. We only take on work that we know is within our capability.
Over the years we have developed techniques in both structural design and thatching that help prolong the life of the thatch thereby saving maintenance costs.
